Noisy kids.

So Amber is at her moms for a few weeks or so, the children of course love to go and see Nana and grandpa, they love to fish with grandpa and Nana's hot tub. It's a weird thing for me, normally if they are gone I am gone too, traveling somewhere or other, but this time I'm home. I have only had a few trips out this week and almost none next week. Normally I come home when I am in town and the kids are noisy, soooo loud, so exhausting and demanding! As soon as I walk through the door they pile on me and shout out all the things they did that day, it's truly insane at times, just pure madness! I walk in and on occasion I think 'Oh my gosh, just give me one minute, that's all I ask, just one minute to sit down and just breath'. But it's not the same when they aren't here. I miss the noise, the craziness of Bethia showing me all her school works and an endless stream of drawings; Luke showing me how loud he has taught himself to whistle, and in the meantime Brad is climbing up my back - literally - to jump off my shoulders onto the couch, one of the dogs, or just to see how far he can jump! I miss my children being here, I miss my wife being here, I have no idea how she does it every day with them, or how she doesn't need a hearing aid. I do understand why she has a lot of migraines though!

Given the choice of this empty, quiet house with no one but me here I'd take a loud, crazy, noisy house full of my family any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Hey Wayne -
I miss them too. When are they coming home? Amber missed a great dress party, and now I have no one to compare my great finds with. I can't imagine an empty house. I think I could deal with it for a day or two.
